DR. ROB McNEILL

I help students avoid the 6 mistakes that leave them
broke, confused, and stuck after graduation.

⚠️
Most students graduate with a degree and zero financial strategy — and spend the next 3–5 years confused, broke, and following advice that was outdated before they were born. Dr. Rob gives them the framework before the mistakes happen.

Dr. Rob got me approved when two other lenders said no. He actually explained why my file was the problem and fixed it. Closed in 34 days. I tell every first-time buyer I know — call him first.

I sent him a deal I thought was dead. VA loan, complicated file. He came back with a path forward in 24 hours. My client closed. That's the kind of lender you want in your corner on every listing.

★★★★★
I came to his Entrepreneur With a Job workshop not knowing what a side income even looked like for me. Left with a 90-day plan and actually followed it. Six months later I have a second stream running. That's real.

We booked Dr. Rob to speak at our youth summit and he had 200 high schoolers silent for 45 minutes straight. No phones. No side talk. Just locked in. Parents in the back were crying. Book him before he's unavailable.

Dr. Rob McNeill — Professional Development Workshop

Queens Kid. HBCU Scholar. PhD. CEO.

Dr. Rob McNeill was raised in Laurelton, Queens, New York — where his father Robert Sr. ran Neill's Limousine on a guarantee of personal accountability ("If we are late, you don't pay") and his mother Rosa worked as a state nurse for 30 years. Two operating systems running under one roof: entrepreneurship and endurance. Both installed themselves into his DNA.

Educated at two HBCUs — Morgan State University and Texas Southern University — Dr. Rob earned his PhD in Sociology (Business Management concentration) from Texas Woman's University, driving Houston to Denton every week for three years while working full-time. His dissertation, "Three the Hard Way," studied how African American women entrepreneurs construct and perform their professional identities using Butler's Theory of Performativity.

Over 26 years, he built 9 businesses across 9 different industries — every single one while holding a full-time job. He originated mortgages, taught at American InterContinental University, performed stand-up comedy, co-founded a streetwear brand rooted in Queens hip-hop culture, authored three books, and coached 750+ professionals. On March 11, 2026, he left his City of Houston career and went full-time into his companies.

He didn't quit and hope. He built the runway, built the brands, built the pipeline — and then walked away on his own terms. That's not a motivational story. That's a system he now teaches professionals to replicate.

From Surviving a Job You Hate — Chapter 3: Rebuilding Confidence
“Robert’s rebuilding started with his body. The job might have been slow, but his schedule was not. He began waking up at three in the morning to work out before reporting to his government post at seven. At first, it was about losing weight. Then it became something deeper. The discipline of exercise was a physical statement of control. Each morning rep said, ‘You do not own my spirit.’ Within a year, he had lost sixty pounds and gained back a sense of pride that bureaucracy could never give him.”

The structure that helped him lose sixty pounds became the structure that built EWJ — and ultimately the freedom to leave on his own terms on March 11, 2026.

The 6-Mistake Framework

6 Mistakes That Set Students Up to Struggle — And How to Avoid Every One

Talk 01
Mistake #1: Waiting for Someone to Tell You You're Ready
From a Queens kid to a multi-brand CEO — Dr. Rob shows students how to start building right now with nothing but a phone, a plan, and the refusal to wait for someone to say "you're ready."
Audience walks away with
A concrete first-step action plan, the mindset shift to stop waiting for permission, and a framework for identifying their first buildable income idea — before they leave the room.
Identity + Self-Authorization
Talk 02
Mistake #2: Not Understanding How Money Actually Works
Your zip code, your circle, and your habits predict your income more than your GPA. Dr. Rob uses his PhD to decode how social capital and positioning actually create wealth — and how to hack the system.
Audience walks away with
A clear understanding of the hidden social forces shaping their financial ceiling — and three specific strategies to reposition themselves for wealth-building, regardless of starting point.
Financial Literacy + Real-World Economics
Talk 03
Mistake #3: Thinking One Income Stream Is Enough
You don't have to drop out or go viral. Dr. Rob built 9 businesses and wrote 3 books while working a 9-to-5. This talk gives students the exact framework to stack income streams without sacrificing stability.
Audience walks away with
The Entrepreneur With a Job framework — a repeatable 90-day system for launching a first income stream alongside full-time work, without burning out or burning bridges.
Income Strategy + Career Planning
Talk 04
Mistake #4: Following Outdated Advice from People Who Never Built Anything
Rooted in Positive Mind Science and CBT coaching methodology, this talk addresses anxiety, imposter syndrome, and negative self-talk head-on. Dr. Rob teaches the mental frameworks that took him from survival mode to ownership.
Audience walks away with
Practical tools to interrupt self-sabotage patterns, reframe limiting beliefs, and build the mental operating system required to sustain entrepreneurship — without a therapist's waiting room.

Mistake #5: Graduating With a Degree and Zero Financial Plan
Financial Strategy + Post-Graduation Roadmap

Most graduates enter the workforce with skills but no strategy. Dr. Rob breaks down what a real financial plan looks like before the first paycheck — income, credit, savings, and the traps waiting at every turn.

Audience walks away with:
  • A 90-day post-graduation financial framework
  • The 3 financial traps that catch most new grads
  • How to build a financial foundation before age 25
06
Mistake #6: Letting the Environment Decide Your Future
Resilience + Environmental Transcendence

Queens. HBCU. PhD. 9 businesses. Dr. Rob didn't become what his zip code predicted — and he teaches students how to use where they're from as fuel, not an excuse. This is the talk that changes the room.

Audience walks away with:
  • A reframe of environment as an asset, not a limitation
  • The mindset shift that separates survivors from builders
  • Proof that the zip code is not the ceiling
